My name is Gary Andrews, and I am proud to offer the people of North Georgia, Western North Carolina , and East Tennessee, a new , yet steeped in experience , business ; Mountain Life Auto Tinting, LLC , a/k/a/ Mountain Life Window Tinting . I have been a Retail Services Consultant and Contractor for over 50 years; 30 + years of which has been exclusively in the Window Tinting Industry.

I was born in Atlanta, and raised in Decatur, GA where I literally grew up in the tinting business. I began working for my father, owner of Sun-X of Georgia, when I was only 10, applying liquid “flow coat” tinting to commercial windows. In 1969, the first metallic window films were introduced to the market.

Not long after, a commercial customer approached my father about tinting his work van, (a concept that was new and, as far as we knew, had never been tried before). We began experimenting with installing tint on autos, but had a lot of trials and errors, as the material was metalized and used water based adhesive, which did not lend itself to be installed to the multiple curves found in auto glass. Nevertheless, the Automotive Window Tinting industry was born, and I was at the precipice of it.

Working for my father and later becoming owner of Sun - X of Georgia, our resume grew rather large serving such regular customers as C&S Bank with all of their Branch Offices, Emory University, and completion of larger projects such as the Norfolk-Southern Railway Building, much of the Atlanta Gaslight Tower, the C&S Bank Tower and many of the State buildings in Atlanta.

Later, while working with other companies such as Allstate Solar Tinting in Tucker, GA, Oasis Window Tinting in Lilburn, GA, and Southern Exposure in Woodstock, GA, I completed such Projects as the Richard Russell building in Milledgeville, GA, The St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA , the club level at The Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, TN and The Tennessee Tower in Nashville, TN, not to mention hundreds, (if not thousands), of commercial jobs in and around the Atlanta metro region.

After walking Away from the Window Film Industry as a full-time occupation in 1998, I went to work for a growing plumbing company that would quickly become one of the largest Residential Plumbing Contractors in America . Over more than twenty years, I obtained many licenses in several states in several disciplines, and served in many roles there including Corporate Contract Writer, Sales Manager, Marketing Director, Project Manager, office Manager, and eventually promoted to Southeast U.S. Operations Manager. That afforded me the opportunity to hone the skills that my father had instilled in me growing up, such as work ethic, integrity, customer service , the value of product knowledge, marketing, offering value, standing behind your word, and so much more.

In late 2018, I retired from Delta Mechanical, Inc., and in early 2019 I joined my wife in the home we had owned in Blairsville for over 10 years. Not being one to sit still, I looked to find something to do; something that I was good at, really enjoyed, and that would allow me to get out, meet new people , and to become an active part of the community. Fortunately, I didn’t have to look far for something that met all of the criteria. Thus was the start of Mountain Life Window Tinting. It is my goal to serve my community with honesty and integrity, to provide only the highest rat ed materials, with the product knowledge and quality installations along with the highest standards of customer service, only decades of quality experience can impart
